NIA announces cash rewards for information on BKI terrorists

In a significant move to combat the Khalistani terrorist campaign within India, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has escalated its efforts by offering a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh each for information leading to the arrest of the ‘listed terrorists’ Harwinder Singh Sandhu, also known as Rinda, and Lakhbir Singh Sandhu, known as Landa. Both are accused of promoting the terror activities of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) on Indian soil.

Additionally, the NIA has declared a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh each for information about three associates of these wanted terrorists, namely Parminder Singh Kaira, also known as Pattu, Satnam Singh, who goes by Satbir Singh or Satta, and Yadvinder Singh, known as Yadda.

These five individuals are sought in connection with NIA case RC-21/2023/NIA/DLI, which is related to BKI’s terrorist activities aimed at disrupting peace and communal harmony in India, particularly in the state of Punjab. The case was registered under sections 17, 18, 18B, 20, 38 & 39 of UA (P) Act, 1967.

The wanted terrorists face charges related to terror acts, fundraising for the banned terror organization BKI through the smuggling of terrorist hardware and narcotics into Punjab, extensive extortion from businessmen and prominent individuals, as well as involvement in targeted killings and attacks on law enforcement agencies.

NIA said their investigations have revealed that these terrorists have been actively recruiting new members for BKI by promising monetary benefits. They have also established a network of operatives in various countries to further their terror activities across India.

Harwinder Singh Sandhu, known as Rinda, is a Pakistan-based ‘listed individual terrorist’ and member of BKI, originally from Gurudwara Huzoor Sahib, Nanded, Maharashtra, with a permanent address in Taran Taran district, Punjab. Lakhbir Singh Sandhu, known as Landa, is a resident of Harike village, Tarn Taran, Punjab. Parminder Singh Khaira, also known as Pattu, hails from Baghelewala, Zira, Ferozpur. Satnam Singh, alias Satbir Singh or Satta Naushera, is from Naushera Pannuan, Tarn Taran,while Yadvinder Singh, known as Yadda, belongs to Chamba Kalan, in Tarn Taran.
