NCCSA meets after five postponements, minus discussion on Delhi CM House

After five postponements, the National Capital Civil Services Authority’s (NCCSA) meeting was finally held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of CM Arvind Kejriwal. The authority cleared postings of eight IAS officers of the AGMUT cadre and three DANICS cadre officers in different departments of the Delhi government.

However, the agenda related to the CM’s residence was not discussed in the meeting as it is a sub-judice matter, said sources.

The recommendations of the NCCSA regarding posting and deployment of these officers will be sent to Lieutenant Governor for further approval, said sources.

The NCCSA has Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar and Principal Secretary (Home) Ashwini Kumar as members. This was the third meeting of the NCCSA which last met in June. Further, the Authority discussed and made recommendations for disciplinary action against eight officers, including DANICS officer Raj Kumar, currently posted as secretary, Delhi Assembly, for his involvement in the alleged irregularities in construction of the Rani Jhansi Flyover.

About 21 civil servants are awaiting their postings in Delhi government departments for the last one month. The NCCSA is mandated to decide on transfers and postings of bureaucrats in the Delhi government under the newly enacted GNCTD Act, 2023.
