Along with the revised schedule of the ODI World Cup, the International Cricket Council has also announced the date for the ticket sales. The first phase would begin on August 25 and the last set of tickets, for the knockout games, would roll out from September 5. A day later, tickets for India’s games in Chennai (vs Australia, Oct 8), Delhi (vs Afghanistan, Oct 11) and Pune (vs Bangladesh, Oct 19) will be opened. From September 1, fans could purchase for the hosts’ ties in Dharamsala (vs New Zealand, Oct 22), Lucknow (vs England, Oct 29) and Mumbai (vs Sri Lanka, Nov 2). On September 2, those for the Kolkata (vs South Africa, Nov 5) and Bengaluru (vs Netherlands, Nov 12) games will commence.

How should the fans go about it?

As tickets will be sold on multiple dates, ICC would alert fans ahead of the sales. Fans can register through https:/www.cricketworldcup.com/register from August 15. It will enable them to receive news regarding tickets.

Where do they buy tickets?

The BCCI and ICC haven’t confirmed the identity of their ticketing partner. But it learned the Indian board could hand over ticket distribution to bookmyshow.com.
