Sony launched the WF-1000XM5, the successor to its popular WF-1000XM4 wireless earbuds. The company claims that the new earbuds will offer better active noise cancellation in addition to better audio and call quality.
As for the design, the WF-1000XM5 seems to have shed some weight and size with Sony claiming that they are 25 per cent smaller and 20 per cent lighter compared to their predecessor. The audio quality of WF-1000XM4 was already one of the best, but Sony seems to have incorporated 24-bit audio processing and high-performance analog amplification.

The new earbuds also come with improved microphones that make use of bone conduction technology which detects vibration on the wearer’s voice directly from their skull bones and help reduce background noise while isolating your speech from ambient sounds even in loud environments. Like all premium Sony earbuds, you also get multipoint connectivity, Spatial Audio with head tracking and 360 Reality Audio support.
The company claims the WF-1000XM5 can last up to 8 hours on a single charge with ANC on and 12 hours with ANC off, while the case offers additional 16 hours with ANC enabled and 24 hours of music playback when noise cancellation is disabled. The case itself takes around 2 hours to fully charge.

Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds are available in two colours – black and white and are priced at $299.99, which roughly translates to Rs 24,560.
