RBI Recruitment 2023: Applications open for 450 assistants; check dates, eligibility and more

RBI Recruitment 2023: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is inviting applications for the post of assistant. The exam will be held in two phases— preliminary and main followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Candidates can apply till October 4 at the official website — opportunities.rbi.org.in. The payment window will be open from today till October 4.

There are 450 vacancies for the post. The tentative date for the preliminary exam is October 21 and 23 and for the main test is December 2. The applications have to be submitted online.

RBI Recruitment 2023: How to apply

Step 1: Visit the official website — opportunities.rbi.org.in

Step 2: Click on current vacancies and select the link for Assistant

Step 3: Click on the link for new registration

Step 4: Enter your basic details such as name, mobile number, email address

Step 5: Once registered, login your credentials such as username and password

Step 6: Fill the application form and upload the necessary documents

Step 7: Save, submit and pay the fees

Step 8: Download the application form for future reference

The exam fee for open, EWS and OBC categories is Rs 450 + 18 per cent GST and for SC, ST, PwD and Ex-Servicemen it is Rs 50 + 18 per cent GST. For existing employees, there is no fee.

RBI Recruitment 2023: Eligibility

A candidate must be either an Indian national, subject of Nepal, subject of Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling here. A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam can also apply, they should have the intention of permanently settling in India.

The candidate should be between the age of 20 years and 28 years. The upper age limit is relaxed as per government norms “Candidates born not earlier than September 2, 1995 and not later than September 1, 2003 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply.”

RBI Recruitment 2023: Paper pattern

Both the preliminary and main exams will be multiple choice. The preliminary exam will have three sections— English Language (30 questions) for 30 marks, Numerical Ability (35 questions) for 35 marks and Reasoning Ability (35 questions) for 35 marks. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes and maximum marks are 100 for 100 questions.

The main exam will have five sections— Reasoning (40 questions) for 40 marks, English Language (40 questions) for 40 marks, Numerical Ability (40 questions) for 40 marks, general awareness (40 questions) for 40 marks and Computer Knowledge (40 questions) for 40 marks. The total marks are 200 and the number of questions is also 200 for a duration of 135 minutes.
