SBI PO 2023 registration begins: Applications open for 2000 vacancies, check how to apply and more

SBI PO 2023: The State Bank of India (SBI) is inviting applications for the post of Probationary Officer. The registration process begins today and will close on September 27. Interested and eligible candidates can apply at the official website of SBI — sbi.co.in or ibpsonline.ibps.in.

SBI PO 2023: Vacancies

The applications are invited for a total of 2000 vacancies. Candidates can download their call letters for the preliminary exam from the second week of October onwards. The preliminary exam will be conducted online in November and the results will be declared either in November or December.

Call letters for the main exam will be available by November or December and the exam will be conducted either in December or January 2024. The results are also likely to be declared during the same period. The call letters for the Psychometric test will be available from January or February 2024 and the test will be conducted during the same period. Interview and group exercises will also be conducted either in January or February 2024.

Final results will be declared in February or March 2024. The pre-exam training for SC, ST, OBC and religious minority communities will be held from the second week of October and call letters for the same will be available during the first week of October.

SBI PO 2023: How to apply

Step 1: Visit the official website— sbi.co.in

Step 2: Click on careers and click on applications for PO

Step 3: Once redirected, click on new registration and enter your basic details

Step 4: Login using your registered email ID and password

Step 5: Fill the application form and upload the necessary documents

Step 6: Save, submit and pay the fees

Step 7: Download the application form for future reference

The application fee is Rs 750 and SC, ST and PwBD candidates are exempted.

SBI PO 2023: Eligibility

Candidates should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university or any equivalent qualification recognised by the Central government. Those in the final year of their graduation may also apply provisionally. They will have to produce proof of passing the exam, if called for an interview on or before December 31, 2023.

“Candidates having Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before December 31,2023. Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant etc. would also be eligible,” stated the official notification.

The minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years as on April 1, 2023. There are age relaxations as per government norm.

SBI PO 2023: Paper pattern

The preliminary examination will be for 100 marks and have 100 questions on English Language (30 questions), Quantitative Aptitude (35 questions) and Reasoning Ability (35 questions). The time duration is one hour— 20 minutes for each section.

The main exam will consist of objective tests for 200 marks and descriptive test for 50 marks. The latter will be administered immediately after the conclusion of the objective test and candidates will have to type the answers of their descriptive test on the computer. The objective test will have four sections— Reasoning and Computer Aptitude (40 questions for 50 marks), Data Analysis and Interpretation (30 questions for 50 marks), General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness (50 questions for 60 marks) and English Language (35 questions for 40 marks). The time duration for the objective test is three hours. The descriptive test will have two questions— letter and essay writing for 50 marks and 30 minutes duration.
